Friday morning and fighting a hangover, I headed over to campus and took some photos. It was about 90 degrees and I was sweating like crazy. I made my way around the stadium, down to Turlington and Century Tower and the French Fries. It was nice to walk around campus, but it really made me miss college.
I bought myself a DSLR camera with absolutely no idea how to use it. I will study up on how to take better photos and post some of my favorites. Hopefully you'll be able to see improvements with every new post... or at least enjoy a picture or two.

Back in Florida
I flew down to Florida on Thursday for the Gators' Spring football game on Saturday. CP picked me up from the airport in Jacksonville and we ate lunch at some seafood place he saw on t.v. or something. It was pretty good, and if it was up to me, we would have hung out a bit longer after eating to take some more photos, but I don't like holding people up with it all. So, after getting a few shots in, we headed to Gainesville, made some steaks and headed to The Salty Dog.

Tidal Basin
Wednesday, I got off work early and headed over to the Tidal Basin to get a look at the cherry blossoms before the rain moved in and mess all the trees up. The weather was not ideal. I wish it was more sunny, but what can you do.

Cherry Blossoms on the Potomac
I have been itching to go down to the Tidal Basin and see the Cherry Blossoms on the Potomac, so I talked Carrie into going with me. Coincidentally, Sarah P. and Breck were planning on going there too so we caught a ride with them and walked around. We got there just before sunset, so the lighting was nice, but constantly changing, making it difficult to take pictures. I definitely got some good shots, although I wish the blossoms when they were more pink.

Carrie's Half-Marathon
So the half-marathon that Carrie has been training for over the past few months finally took place on Saturday. I was at Brendon's the night before watching the NCAA Tournament games and didn't get into bed until 2 a.m. I got woken up 3 hours later so I could drive Carrie as well as Nikki and Eric to the Marathon starting line. I brought my bike and my camera and posted up at mile #2 to see Carrie and Nikki run by. From there I rode along side of them and then skipped ahead to Dupont Circle to get a good spot to see everyone run by. After that, I metroed to Union Station and got a spot around mile #11 and took some more photos. I tried to make it to the finish line, but I got a bit lost and Carrie apparently crossed a minute or so before I got there.
I got some good photos, but mostly proud of Carrie because she was very worried about not being able to do it and she ended up doing great. However, I will spare you all pictures of her blistery, jacked up feet.
